Welcome to Brunwick Ironworks (D J Williams & Son) ~ Established 1906 and celebrating a century of craftsmanship.
Brunswick Ironworks have been working with iron and steel for over one hundred years. We are a family company, Meurig Williams being the third generation of the Williams to run the  company. In the last one hundred years we have carried out work in Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Merton College Oxford, Liverpool Roman Catholic Cathedral, Fords car plant in Liverpool and the two nuclear power plants in North wales Wylfa and Transfynydd.
Presently we are working with the Welsh Highland Railway on the extension of the railway from Caernarfon to Porthmadog. We have refurbished and repaired four of the original bridges along the route; and are building five new bridges to replace those that have been removed over the years. We have specialist skills in welding and this is carried out by Coded welders and all welds can be tested and inspected in house.
We can offer a design service for the creation and installation of entrance gates and railings, that reflect the craft of the art metal worker in the twenty first century. This service would enable customers to either submit their own designs, or we can offer a design service to fulfil the brief given to us. Each design would be unique, continuing in the tradition of creating high quality gates from the craftsmen at the Brunswick Ironworks.
